The Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) has successfully launched the CARTOSAT-3 with 13 commercial nanosatellites aboard the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C47 on 27th November in the year 2019. The Catrosat satellites are the series of Indian Earth Observation Satellites built and operated by the ISRO. This series is a part of the Indian Remote Sensing Satellite Programme. They are used for Earth's management, defense services, and monitoring. The 1st satellite of the series is CARTOSAT-1, which was launched on 5th May in the year 2005. It carries two state-of-the-art panchromatic (PAN) cameras that take black and white stereoscopic pictures of the earth in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum with resolution up to 2.5 meters. The 2nd satellite of the series is CARTOSAT-2, which was launched using PSLVs in the following years from 2007, with a total of 7 satellites. It had a better spectral resolution up to 1 meter.
