How to Explain Karate to a Five-Year-Old

You should never force a child to do anything that is not necessary, regardless of your very own reasons to want to do so. In the case of martial arts, as a parent, you may want them to learn so they can defend themselves. It might be a good reason that you want your kid to learn martial arts,  but it's still not good enough to compel them.

Today, I am going to write on: "How to Explain Karate to a Five-Year-Old"They are too small to understand any complex thoughts. You can show him/her a well martial art movie. You can compare him/her with that superhero. You can tell her: "Hey, look! hero seems to be like you. He's as powerful as you. You can do this by practicing karate every day. Want to be a superhero? You can save many lives. All will worship you one day".

After hearing from you, they'll be like, "Hawwwwww! really?".

And you'll say: "Yaa... Sure! You are already a superhero. You have to increase your power skills. You will have to learn techniques like different punch techniques, kicking techniques, block techniques, and many more".

Generally, this type of conversation will boost up his/her mind. They will not understand or feel about physical fitness, inner power. They will not understand discipline, confidence. At the age of five, their mind malleable. They will trust your words blindly. You can explain Karate as a "fantasy" to them. They like to believe fantasy more than reality.

Karate is a great way to teach kids how to be respectful and to focus on defense rather than offense. You have to support them always.
